- International Campers (ages 10-17): Summer camp opportunities are open to international students (ages 10-17) with interest in a meaningful but short term US experiences. Camp sessions are flexible and can accommodate program durations from 1 week to 7 week options. - F1 High School Students (ages 13-17): Students interested in the F1 High School program can now apply for consideration in the 2015-2016 academic year. We concentrate on placement recommendations with exclusive US private high schools. Our high schools offer students a unique combination of superior academics, social engagement, and personal responsibility. - Summer Camp Staff (18+): Students, teachers, coaches, social workers and others with experience in working with children who are interested in spending a summer abroad working in US summer camps as camp counselors or support staff can apply and take part in a summer work experience with great pay and virtually no living expenses. Summer camp employment is not for all…but for those committed to children, who enjoy nature and working in a “team” setting, it is a summer of a lifetime! International staff take part in these programs under two separate exchange visitor visa categories: J1 Camp Counselor and J1 Summer Work Travel. - J1 Summer Work Travel Students (18+): The Summer Work Travel Program permits foreign nationals who are currently post secondary students over the age of 18, the opportunity to live and work in the US during their university’s summer break. Expanding Horizons is affiliated with two main J1 designated sponsors, A Cultural Exchange Service, Inc and Life Adventures, Inc. with many US employers who welcome international student employees.
